Business overview

The international business of KIS can be divided into arranging for foreign investors to access the Korean markets and for Korean investors to gain exposure to overseas markets. The International Sales Department has been ranked as one of the top local brokerage firms in terms of international sales value with remarkable growth to 5.8 trillion won in 2006 from 2.3 trillion won in 2003. Also it is notable that the sales value of foreign futures and options trading has grown from almost nothing in 2003 to 83.8 trillion won and 3.1 trillion won respectively in 2006. It is now expanding to DMA and arbitrage activities for even stronger growth.

The International Investment Department has pioneered brokerage services that enable Korean investors to access the worldĄŻs leading stock markets as well as developing markets, especially in Asia. In addition, it has been the leading provider of Korean stock and bond funds for foreign investors for over 25 years.

Brokerage

Brokerage for domestic stocks and futures/options, targeting foreign institutional investors

Brokerage service for Korean investors to invest overseas including overseas stocks and overseas bonds in the US, the UK, Japan, Hong Kong, and China, and Vietnam

Stock Borrowing

Brokerage of stock borrowing and lending for domestic and foreign investors through the Korea Securities Depository.

Corporation Finance

Support market listing and overseas stock sales when a domestic company wants to list on overseas markets.

Fund sales

Provide Onshore Trust Funds & Overseas Investment Funds.
